Growing up in Switzerland, Doris was taught to knit, crochet and sew at an early age, and it has been a hobby throughout her professional career. Once she retired, creating with fibers and beads, be it craft or art, became a reality. She is a longtime member of the Kobo Gallery, Gallery 80 on Tybee as well as being represented in the Jepson Center gift shop.
