DICKY STONE
SCULPTURE
Through most of his adult life, wood has played a part in what Dicky was doing even when he was doing other things. His woodworking education has been entirely experiential beginning when his paternal grandfather taught him furniture repair when he was ten. More recently, Dicky started woodturning in 1997 and began his adventure with carving in 2006.
The story of the tree and its wood, the process of working it, and the end result are equally important.
Dicky’s work is in private collections across the Americas as well as Europe, Australia, and Asia.
